冰球一面用签字笔画着一幅简笔画，近处是一条街，远方是一座起伏的山头。冰球背面贴着那张不干胶纸，上写着四个字母：UNBCrdquo;。她两面翻看冰球，走到电脑前，翻找刘俊豪寄给她的照片，发现冰球上的画极像一张照片。照片的文件名是：Banff_CascadeMt001.jpg

辛笛儿自言自语：Banff, Cascade Mountain. (班芙，彩石彩叠山。)

夜晚，乔治王子市(Prince George)机场。跑道上，一架飞机降落。

候机楼门外，一辆轿车停在门前。掠国公司副总裁诺曼拖着一个小行李箱，走出候机楼大门，朝轿车走来。

轿车司机下车。他是北不列颠哥伦比亚大学的学生菲尔。他向诺曼迎上去。

菲尔：Hi, Norman, Good evening! (喂，诺曼，晚上好！)

诺曼停步，迟疑地望着菲尔：Who are you Where is Allen (你是谁？阿伦呢？)

菲尔：My name is Phil. Allen is out of duty temporarily. Irsquo;m here to pick you up. Can I have your suitcase (我叫菲尔。阿伦临时不能来。我来接你。能把手提箱给我吗？)

诺曼将手提箱交给菲尔：Sure. Thanks. (给。谢谢！)

菲尔拎过诺曼的手提箱，放到轿车后备箱内。

诺曼上后座。菲尔上车，开车离去。

车内。

菲尔：How was the flight (旅途怎么样？)

诺曼：Not bad. (不错。)

菲尔：Do you want to go home directly or somewhere else (你想直接回家、还是去哪里？)

诺曼：Factory, the Small Admin Building. (去工厂的小管理楼。)

菲尔：Okay. Factory, the Small Admin Building. (好的，工厂，小管理楼。)

诺曼：They didnrsquo;t tell you this (他们没告诉你这？)

菲尔：No. (没有。)(寻思：)Where the heck is the Small Admin Building (他妈的小管理楼在哪里？)

菲尔的手提电话响起。菲尔一只手伸进口袋取出电话，应答。电话里是戴安。

戴安：Howrsquo;s everything going on (你那边情况怎么样？)

菲尔扭头往后瞟了一眼：Hi, Allen. Wersquo;re on the way. You donrsquo;t have to worry for us. Wersquo;re heading for the factory. Yeah, the Small Admin Building. Can you tell me the direction again You know, Irsquo;m always a little confused when it gets dark. (喂，阿伦，我们在路上。你不用担心我们。我们正去工厂。对，小管理楼。你能不能再告诉我一遍路怎么走？你知道，天黑后我就有些搞不清方向。)

诺曼扭头看车外，不悦：Stop talking on the phone! Irsquo;m gonna tell you the directions. (别讲电话了！我告诉你怎么走。)
