刘俊豪点了点头，走进门去。

林业科学中心一楼大厅。大楼内全部木结构的房柱和构架，一楼的休息厅内，学生在自习。

刘俊豪走上休息厅，向一名学生询问。

刘俊豪：Excuse me. Do you know where is Charlotte (对不起，请问夏洛特在哪里？)

学生：Charlotte (夏洛特？)

刘俊豪：Yeah. She is a Master student. (对，她是硕士研究生。)

学生想了想：Please come with me. (请跟我来。)

刘俊豪：Thanks. (谢谢！)

刘俊豪跟着学生离去，上楼梯。

不列颠哥伦比亚大学、林业科学中心二楼一间办公室门前。

学生带着刘俊豪走来。

学生：She has a seat in this room. (她在这房里有个座位。)

刘俊豪：Thank you. (谢谢！)

学生：Yoursquo;re welcome. (不用客气。)

学生转身离去。刘俊豪低头看门边。门边上贴有一个牌子，上面有三个名字：

Don Whiteman, Ph.D. Candidate

Susanna Gates, M.S. Candidate

Charlotte Rowland, M.S. Candidate (硕士研究生：夏洛特罗兰)

刘俊豪敲门。门开，一名女生(苏珊娜)站在里面。

苏珊娜：Hi. How can I help you (你好！你有什么事？)

刘俊豪：Hi, Irsquo;m John, Charlottersquo;s friend. Irsquo;m looking for her. (你好！我叫刘俊豪，是夏洛特的朋友。我来找她。)

苏珊娜跟刘俊豪握手：Irsquo;m Susanna. Nice to meet you. (我叫苏珊娜。见到你很高兴。)

刘俊豪：Nice to meet you. (见到你很高兴。)

苏珊娜：Charlotte hasnrsquo;t shown up for a couple of weeks. Anything wrong with her (夏洛特已经有一两个礼拜没来了。她出了什么事吗？)

刘俊豪：I think she is okay. Uh, can you tell me where is Wreck Beach (我想她没事。哦，你能告诉我，失事海滩在哪儿吗？)

苏珊娜：Itrsquo;s not far away from here. I can show you there. (那儿离这儿不是很远。我可以带你过去。)

刘俊豪：Thank you. (麻烦你了！)

苏珊娜：No problem. (没问题。)

苏珊娜带领刘俊豪离去。
